Punch Planet - Early Access

Punch Planet is a competitive sci-fi 2D fighting game with a rich immersive universe spanning exotic planets, advanced cities and alien races. The developer Sector-K is three longtime fighting game competitors focused on solid competitive mechanics with a new depth of story, humor and design. Story-wise, Roy is an undercover Luna PD detective framed for a high-profile murder, traveling to Planet K-0 (Punch Planet) to track down the real killer.

Gameplay features classic 1v1 multiplayer with GGPO rollback netcode for online play. Local versus, CPU versus with multiple difficulty and behavior settings, online versus with player lobbies and spectating, casual matchmaking, and online training mode all ship. A robust training mode includes hit box viewers, frame data overlay, dummy recording, reversal options and state saving for serious practice.

The unique mechanic is Time Canceling. Time Canceling Devices let users travel up to one second into the past for small corrections, with auto fail-safes disintegrating your former self to prevent paradoxes. This enables Double Time Canceling, Jump Time Canceling and Absorb Time Canceling mechanics. Energy Attacks spend E-Meter for enhanced specials or stack 2+ for Advanced Attacks. 9 playable characters, 5 stages, and Arcade/Trials modes at current Early Access state.
