About Snacko
Snacko is a cozy life-simulation game set on the once-abandoned Snacko Island — a place once abundant in resources and culture, now empty after the cost of living drove its residents away. You and your childhood friend (both cats) set off with the goal of turning things around, exploring the island, gathering resources, building up the town from scratch, and turning it into a place worth calling home.
The gameplay covers the cozy-genre fundamentals with some thoughtful additions. Explore four distinct biomes across the island. Combine different gems with different tools for unique effects — each combination is unique, letting you tailor upgrades to your playstyle. Manage your goodies and stamina with auto-deposit features and the Lunchbox for auto stamina restoration. Craft from storage and use Overflow Storage to avoid ever having to manage rucksack space carefully.
Quality-of-life features run through every system. Running out of time? Use the Go Home button or camp outside with a Sleeping Box. You can purchase items from shops when the shopkeeper is off duty — they trust you. World Themes include low-contrast and dark mode options with a strength slider. Drop rates of certain items increase during specific seasons, times of day, or weather, with longer-search bonuses ensuring rare items eventually appear when you're hunting for them.
The community side is substantial. 26 characters of varying personalities (and species) populate the island, and you can invite shopkeepers and villagers based on whose personality fits or work hard and build housing for everyone. Romance is supported with 21 characters and no restrictions. Donate furniture, cooked foods, fish and paintings to the Cultural Center, build a dream house with a flexible build mode covering 300+ items, snap to grid or free-rotate, change wallpapers, dye walls. The game accommodates whatever pace you want to play at — slow and deliberate or focused on the main story progression.
