About Littlewood
Littlewood is set after the part of the story most RPGs would end on. You defeated the Dark Wizard. The world of Solemn is finally at peace. But you can't quite remember how it happened — or much of who you used to be — and the protagonist's amnesia frames the entire campaign. The Hero Who Saved the World is now responsible for rebuilding the town of Littlewood, recovering their memories along the way.
The gameplay covers the breadth of cozy-life-sim activities. Gathering, mining, woodcutting, bug catching, fishing, farming, cooking, crafting and merchanting all have full skill trees. Tarott Master is the late-game collectible-card subsystem, where all the Dark Wizard's monsters have been sealed away into Tarott cards and townsfolk collect and battle with them in an annual competition. Each skill has its own progression and unlocks new options as it levels.
The town-building layer is where the design opens up. Unlock new structures by meeting townsfolk. Fulfill their requests for specific home placement (some want elevation, others want trees and water nearby) and you'll earn their hearts, unlocking new relationship paths. Customize the layout entirely — Tavern, Lumber Mill, Fishing Hut, Magical Library, all up to you. Townsfolk like Willow (a cheery builder), Dalton (a ditsy adventurer), Lilith (a top-of-class wizard) and many more populate the world with distinct personalities.
Exploration extends beyond town. Enchanted Forests, Bustling Fishing Towns, Dark Mining Caves and other locations make up the world of Solemn. Collect rare items and materials, bring them back, sell or craft. The combat-free, time-pressure-free, anxiety-free design is the whole point — Littlewood is the cozy RPG that doesn't pretend to be anything else, and the post-victory framing gives it an unusually warm emotional arc for the genre.
