About Solasta Crown of the Magister
Solasta: Crown of the Magister was built by Tactical Adventures with the explicit goal of replicating a Dungeons & Dragons 5e session on a PC. The SRD 5.1 ruleset runs under the hood: rolling initiative, attacks of opportunity, advantage and disadvantage, natural 20s, ability score limits and the full action-bonus-reaction economy.
The four-character party is built in classic tabletop tradition: choose race, class, personality and stat rolls. Personalities surface in actual dialogue, with different characters volunteering responses based on whether they're devout, sarcastic, scholarly or hot-headed. Combat plays on dungeons that are genuinely three-dimensional: climb, jump, fly, push enemies off bridges, collapse columns onto them, force foes into chasms.
The Dungeon Maker creates and shares custom dungeons; a Campaign Creator bundles them with custom monsters, NPCs, merchants, items, quests, dialogue and loot tables. Free updates added an online co-op mode, level cap 12, spellcasting chants, surprise system overhauled to per-enemy perception checks, crafting feats, scars and facial paint options, and a harder endgame fight.
