Baldur's Gate II

Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition is Beamdog's polish of the 2000 BioWare original, with the full Shadows of Amn campaign, the Throne of Bhaal expansion, and the new Black Pits II arena combat mode bundled together. Hundreds of bug fixes carry over the original game alongside native high-resolution widescreen support and cross-platform multiplayer between Windows, Linux, and macOS.

The story picks up from the first game: Irenicus has kidnapped, imprisoned, and tortured you in his stronghold, attempting to strip you of the powers you inherited as the offspring of the dead god of murder. The campaign's central question — whether you resist the evil in your blood or embrace the path to becoming the new Lord of Murder — runs through every major story decision.

Enhanced Edition adds five new NPC companions: Neera the Wild Mage, Dorn Il-Khan the Blackguard, Rasaad yn Bashir the Monk, Hexxat the Thief, and Wilson the Bear. Eleven playable classes plus dozens of subclasses, the new Story Mode difficulty for narrative-focused play, new player voice sets, and the ability to upload characters from Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition all extend the original game's scope. Minsc and Boo return.
