Sons Of The Forest

Sons Of The Forest is the next project from the team behind The Forest, sending you to a remote island in search of a missing billionaire and dropping you instead into a cannibal-infested hellscape. The world is fully open, with no NPCs handing out missions, no objective markers pulling you along, and complete freedom to decide what you do, where you go, and how you survive.

Mutated creatures range from disturbingly human to entirely alien. You defend yourself with pistols, axes, stun batons, and improvised tools. Building uses tactile interactions (break sticks for fires, cut windows and floors with an axe) to assemble anything from a small cabin to a sea-side compound.

Seasons shift the gameplay loop. Pluck salmon from streams in warmer months, stockpile meat for winter when food and resources scarce out, and watch the local cannibals get hungrier alongside you. Co-op support lets friends share inventories and split work building defenses, exploring caves, and watching each other's backs above and below ground.
