Steven Universe Unleash the Light

Unleash the Light is the third game in Grumpyface Studios' Light trilogy, closing out an arc that began on mobile and reached its conclusion as a console RPG. The Crystal Gems face two new Prism-wielding Gem rulers whose plans threaten the peace Era 3 was meant to bring, and the story is co-written by series creator Rebecca Sugar.

Nine playable characters fill out the roster: Steven, Garnet, Pearl, Amethyst, Lapis Lazuli, Bismuth, Peridot, Connie, and Greg. Party customization lets you build a four-Gem team and change formation mid-battle to gain tactical position. Each Gem unlocks new abilities, accepts alternate costumes, and contributes to fusion combos.

Fusion is the system that ties everything together — pair the right Gems to summon Smoky Quartz, Sunstone, Rainbow Quartz 2.0, or Obsidian and access attacks that none of the individual Gems can perform alone. Original voice cast from the show return, plus special guest star Christine Baranski, so every cutscene plays in the same register the show used.
