About Tandis
Tandis is a small puzzle game built entirely around geometric transformations. You start with simple shapes and apply transformations (scaling, reflections, rotations, combinations) to discover new forms. The puzzles ask you to reach specific target shapes by figuring out which sequence of transformations produces them.
The geometry quickly leaves intuition behind. Shapes that look familiar at the start unfold into nonintuitive forms once a few transformations stack, and figuring out how to back out of a dead end is half the game's pleasure. Some puzzles are best solved by mentally rotating the shape; others reward stepwise experimentation. There's no fail state, just the satisfaction of reaching a discovered form.
Export functionality lets you save creations in 3D file formats for use outside the game, which has made Tandis modestly popular among 3D-printing enthusiasts and digital artists. The aesthetic stays clean and white-backgrounded throughout, with no distractions from the shape itself. A small game with an unusually meditative focus.
