Teacup

Teacup is a tea-loving, book-loving frog who realizes the night before her tea party that her pantry is empty, and the only solution is to go outside and ask the neighbors for help. The neighbors are forest animals, and the forest is Little Pond, hand-illustrated in soft children's-book palettes.

The ingredient list is non-linear. You can tackle the errands in any order, and each one is a small minigame or social exchange — organizing an oddly shaped market stall, joining an underwater race, sitting through a conversation with a grumpy local who clearly needed to be asked.

Smoke Some Frogs built it as a short, low-pressure piece, the kind of game you finish in a single afternoon and remember for the cast rather than the puzzles. The tone never sharpens — everyone you meet is patient with Teacup, and the game extends the same patience to whoever's playing it.
