About Message Quest
Message Quest is a small point-and-click adventure rendered in stained glass, a tale of laziness and the herald in her service. It is told as a fairy tale in the manner of The Hobbit or The Chronicles of Narnia, its art shaped by Studio Ghibli.
It tells the story of Feste, a lazy herald. Heralds are the figures who turn up at the start of a journey to find the hero and deliver the call to adventure, just before the interesting events begin, and that is exactly Feste's job: locate a hero, pass on the call, and be done. No grand deeds, no world to rescue. Trouble is, what he actually wants is to sleep and snack on candy, so you must act as his conscience and steer him through the odd encounters of the Interworld Road.
The whole journey takes roughly ninety minutes, so the full story fits into a single evening. Along the way there are puzzles with familiar mechanics, charming and unpredictable characters who share their life stories, funny JRPG-style boss fights, a dialogue system that lets you control both sides of a conversation, hidden jokes and easter eggs, and a magical soundtrack written for the game.
