The Backrooms Survival

The Backrooms: Survival is a horror game with roguelike elements built on randomized levels, items and events, so every playthrough feels new. Players find themselves in the seemingly endless narrow corridors of the backrooms and must explore carefully to find a way out, all while staying sane, seeking out food and drink, and avoiding the hostilities lurking around corners.

Progress means ascending through higher levels, each home to different items, objects, events and company. You gather materials by crafting, trading, looting and even mining ore deposits, arm yourself with customizable weapons, and fight back against hostile entities. The game offers a fresh take on the Backrooms with its own original levels and creatures alongside ones familiar from the internet lore.

Four game modes cover permadeath, adventure, sandbox and a peaceful explore mode. Cross-platform multiplayer supports up to ten players with the Nintendo Switch, with optional proximity voice chat. Survival elements push you to scavenge for food and water, even drinking from ceiling leaks or cannibalizing the dead, while managing limited inventory slots. A crafting system, varied combat, choosable player professions with unique bonuses, multiple graphics styles, global leaderboards and an Obituary System recording every failed escape round out the experience.
