About Voidspire Tactics
Voidspire Tactics is an indie turn-based Tactics RPG from solo developer Rad Codex, with deep customisation and an unusual setting. The world has no elves, orcs, or goblins; instead, four playable races and 18 unlockable classes shape parties of warriors, sorcerers, and shiftcloaks taking on the eponymous Spire.
Character progression is broad. 100+ abilities to learn and upgrade, 50+ passive abilities to equip, multiple class combinations, and a flexible class change system that lets characters reinvent themselves across a long campaign.
Combat sits in the lineage of Final Fantasy Tactics with destructible terrain and elemental interactions adding texture. Flood the battlefield by smashing a dam, then shock everything in the water with lightning. Set forests on fire and the smoke obscures vision. The systems interact in the kind of ways tactics players invent stories around.
Abilities are useful outside combat too. Freeze a river to walk across it. Grow seeds into vines to climb mountains. The world is nonlinear; exploration unlocks regions and secrets that aren't available through the critical path. The aesthetic is retro pixel art, the tactical complexity is current-gen, and the package is consistently undersold by its modest visual presentation.
