Wanba Warriors

Wanba Warriors is a uniquely abstract 1v1 fighting game built around physics-based ink-brush combat. The world draws from ancient Chinese calligraphy and martial arts, but the characters are deliberately strange and the weapons are entirely unconventional. Each warrior fights with their own oversized weapon, and the control scheme runs on one joystick and two buttons.

The physics simulation drives all the damage calculation. Harder swings deal more damage, and momentum carries through every strike. Stamina settings prevent controller-mashing strain and extend gamepad lifespan, since the natural temptation is to flail. Six characters ship in the base game with multiple DLC packs adding more, each with vastly different fighting styles and personalities.

Local and online battles support both head-to-head player matches and AI opponents. Online uses Steam P2P, which can be hit-or-miss depending on both players' network conditions. The studio strongly recommends controllers, though keyboard and mouse work for the determined. Health bar visuals lean into the abstract theme rather than standard health pip layouts.
