About Yakiniku simulator

Yakiniku Simulator is exactly what its name promises and nothing more. The entire game is a virtual yakiniku grill: keep raw meat on the heated stove, flip each piece when it looks ready, watch it carefully so it doesn't burn, throw away the pieces that overcook, dip the perfect ones in sauce and eat them. There are no points, no progression, no upgrades, no story — just the slow ritual of grilling and eating meat in front of your monitor.

The game has one mode but supports several different play styles depending on what's actually in front of you in real life. Plain play is for when you just want something to do with your hands while chatting with friends. Play with rice is for when you're actually hungry — the game lets you add sauce or salt to virtual rice bowls. Play with beer is the developer's recommended atmospheric option. Play with salad turns the game into a dieting companion that makes a real salad somehow taste better. The developer openly invites players to discover new ways of playing.

The game does not support any game controllers — but, as the description carefully notes, it does support both rice and beer. The whole project is a small, oddly sincere comedy about the meditative pleasure of grilling meat, distilled into the simplest possible interactive form.
