About Zeepkist

Zeepkist is a soapbox-racing physics game whose entire identity is committed to its Dutch source material — "zeepkist" is the Dutch word for soapbox, and the game's cosmetic catalogue includes the stroopwafel soapbox and the hat of Dutch Santa as featured unlocks. The core proposition is straightforward: race weird gravity-powered soapbox vehicles down extreme downhill courses, set times, and crash spectacularly into other players or the level geometry.

The game supports up to four players locally and up to sixty-four online, with adventure mode racing players against the clock across more than a hundred official tracks, online multiplayer for time-attack and chaotic shared racing, and a deep customisation layer of unlockable hats, soapbox skins and achievements. Crashes are central to the experience — the physics simulation produces the kind of spectacular, weight-shifting wipeouts that the genre lives on, and the multiplayer modes lean into that energy.

The level editor is unusually generous. You get the same toolkit the developers use to build the official tracks: more than 2,000 building blocks at last count, dynamic physics props, NPC cats, paint tools for surface decoration, multiple selectable skyboxes, and a tree-gun for rapid foliage placement. Steam Workshop integration lets you publish your tracks and play through the community's collective output, which already extends well past what one studio could produce alone. The game remains in active early access, with new content and features added in regular updates.
