About Astrox Imperium
Astrox Imperium is a one-developer space game aimed squarely at solo players who liked EVE Online's economy and Homeworld's fleet feel but wanted no MMO obligations. The universe generates from your sandbox settings: long grindy campaigns or fast progression runs, sparse trade or busy factions, any combination of difficulty switches.
The loop covers all the genre staples (mining, refining, crafting, trading, missions, combat, exploration) with the wrinkle that the player slides between them seamlessly. Over 100 maps host 18 factions running their own economies and rivalries, 70-plus ships, 12 ore types, 100-plus skills and 15 mission categories. Fleet command can scale to 10 mercenary ships you direct individually or as a group, and eventually you build stations that generate passive income.
Mod tools are built directly into the game. Databases, scripts, ship definitions and even art assets are plain-text editable with no external SDK. After seven years and 144 updates in Early Access, the game is preparing to leave EA. Real-time combat plays tactical rather than twitchy; aim assists handle weapons.
