No Man's Sky is a game about exploration and survival in an infinite, procedurally generated universe. Inspired by the adventure and imagination of classic science fiction, it presents you with a galaxy filled with unique planets and lifeforms, alongside constant danger and action. Every star is the light of a distant sun orbited by planets full of life, and you can fly smoothly from deep space to any planetary surface with no loading screens and no limits, discovering places and creatures no other player has ever seen.

At the centre of the galaxy lies an irresistible pulse drawing you on a journey to learn the true nature of the cosmos, but hostile creatures and fierce pirates mean death comes at a cost, and survival depends on how you upgrade your ship, weapon and suit. Your destiny is yours to choose: be a fighter preying on the weak or hunting pirates for bounties, a trader exploiting rich resources on forgotten worlds, or an explorer pushing beyond the known frontier.

The galaxy is a living, breathing place where trade convoys travel between stars, factions vie for territory and pirates hunt the unwary. Every other player lives in the same galaxy, and you can share discoveries on a map spanning known space.
