Interstellar Pilot 2

Interstellar Pilot 2 is an open-world space simulation from Pixelfactor, a hit mobile game brought to Steam. Its setting is the year 2200: Earth is ravaged by war and depleted resources, humankind has failed to reach Alpha Centauri, and the scarce minerals of the Sol system are controlled by emerging pirate factions.

Then a mysterious wormhole appears in Saturn's rings. Pioneers pass through and report the star system of Gatopea, never before seen from Earth. With the homeworld beyond saving, the nations of Earth form the Terran Expeditionary Force, a vast fleet meant to break out of Sol and establish a permanent colony in Gatopea, and you join it.

After learning the ropes in the TEF flight school, you head into huge open worlds populated by hundreds of roaming NPCs and play however you like: mercenary, trader, miner, bounty hunter, passenger transporter, or warlord set on conquering the universe. You can pilot anything from a small shuttle to a huge capital ship, build factories, capture sectors and grow an empire from nothing, with a sandbox mode and scripted scenarios alongside the open game.
