Backpack Battles

Backpack Battles is an auto-battler where the strategic layer is inventory management. Each round, you buy rare and legendary items, then arrange them in your backpack — and how you arrange them matters as much as what you buy. Items come in different shapes, sizes, prices, and rarities, and the smarter you place them, the stronger the build that fights for you when the round resolves.

The shop offers over 500 items across the game, with crafting interactions that combine basic items into stronger equipment. Brew potions, craft legendary weapons, hatch a dragon companion — the build variety is the central pleasure. Each of the 7 base classes has 5 subclasses, each tuned to different playstyles: heavy crits, poison damage over time, summoner-driven swarms (yes, including squirrels), and many others.

Game modes include Unranked for low-pressure play, Ranked for competitive points, Custom Rules for variations on gold, max health, and other parameters, and Lobbies for live matches against friends or streamers with timers. The 1v1 format means every match resolves against another player's build, and the joy of countering an opponent's specific configuration with your own is the long-tail hook the game leans on.
