Beat Hazard 2

Beat Hazard 2 turns your music collection into an arcade shooter. Every song you feed it generates a level with its own ebb and flow, so the firepower, intensity and pacing of a stage all rise and fall with the track playing behind it.

The core loop is a zen-like blast: you power up your spaceship as the music builds, grab weapon pickups, and unleash overwhelming firepower on enemy ships when the song peaks. The sequel pushes the music-driven idea further by procedurally generating content from each track, with a song creating both a unique archenemy boss ship and a unique player ship, anything from a tiny Mosquito to a hulking Brute. Those ships are consistent, so a great one discovered from a track can be shared with friends to unlock.

An Open Mic system lets the game listen in on any music source, opening it up to premium streaming services like Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music and YouTube, effectively making the whole music world a playlist of levels.
