About Boson X
Boson X is a rotational runner set inside a particle accelerator. You build up speed by quantum-jumping between platforms inside a massive cylindrical collider, with the perspective rotating around the cylinder's axis as you go — floors and ceilings stop existing meaningfully, and gravity is whichever surface you most recently leapt onto.
The goal is to reach critical velocity to trigger high-energy collisions, which spawn new particles. The big find — the elusive Boson X — is gated behind sustained speed and precise platforming.
18 levels escalate the geometry. Three physicists are unlockable as playable characters. There are no powerups, no coins, no XP — just speed, timing, and the lethal seriousness of physics research. Steam leaderboards and achievements track the score chase.
The visual language is abstract, with strobing colour shifts that the developer flags as a photosensitivity warning. Made by Mu and Heart Shaped Games, the design is honest about being unforgiving — there's no margin for missed jumps at peak speed, and the leaderboards favour reflexes a half-step ahead of comprehension.
