Bosorka

Bosorka is an action roguelike where young witch Horpyna has summoned a familiar with the ancient Grimoire, but her inexperience left the spell incomplete. The unleashed Grimoire returned to its author from the other world, uncontrollably summoning horrifying monsters. Stopping the book and preventing evil from taking over the world is now her only path forward.

Gameplay blends roguelike and shoot-em-up elements with stylized top-down 3D visualization. Several huge procedurally assembled levels each form an independent biome with unique atmosphere, mysteries, and dangerous creatures. Secret rooms, hidden passages, and valuable items in unexpected places reward exploration. Powerful bosses at the end of each level have exceptional ability sets capable of incinerating you instantly.

The systems stack richly. Renegade demon companions can join your fight against evil if you save them. Spells cover burning, freezing, lightning, and slimy frogs (among others), unlocked from mysterious mirrors. Rune combinations from your collected items significantly change gameplay, turning you into a natural calamity. Enchanted brooms each have unique specialties beyond transportation, with special skills to master.
