Cardboard Town

Cardboard Town is a city-building card game with a charming hand-drawn look, but it is not about placing buildings to make a pretty skyline. You actively run a complex economy where every card played shifts a delicate balance of Water, Electricity, Safety, Money and Environment, and every decision matters.

Each turn deals you a fresh hand of options: expand a residential district, upgrade the power grid, complete a quest to keep citizens happy. Let your population outgrow its infrastructure and things get messy fast. Random disasters and events test your planning, and Action cards are how you save the day. The stakes are real, since failing to manage your stats or resolve a disaster triggers a Red Alert, and three Red Alerts ends the game.

With more than 300 building, action, quest, festival and upgrade cards, the combinations run endless, so one run might be an eco-friendly green paradise and the next an industrial powerhouse. As a roguelite, every run differs through random festivals, disasters and quests, and persistent rewards after each attempt beef up your deck and unlock new cards, cosmetics and resources for the next try.
