Populations are no longer passive, reacting to your decisions and surroundings, forming political parties and pushing the laws your Senate can enact, leaving you to govern as a trusted leader or a manipulator.

Eight civilizations each bring a distinct playstyle and story quest, and the Academy supplies Heroes you can recruit and train as fleet admirals, system governors or senators. Real-time battles let you design ships, assemble fleets and adapt tactics as lasers rip into cruiser hulls, with online matches for up to eight players. At any moment, the Amplified Reality view reveals detailed context on systems, trade routes, diplomacy and even ship stats mid-fight.
