About Escape Simulator
Escape Simulator is a first-person escape room game from Pine Studio, built around a deeply interactive object system that lets you pick up, rotate and examine almost anything in the environment. Books can be opened and read; locks can be picked or smashed; furniture can be moved if there's something behind it. The bundled set of rooms was designed by real-life escape room operators, which shows in the kind of detail-rich, observation-heavy puzzle design they contain.
The official content is organised into themed packs. Labyrinth of Egypt sends you into an ancient maze after a trap separates you from your mentor. Adrift in Space puts you on a damaged spaceship hurtling toward the sun. Edgewood Mansion frames a Victorian mystery as a dinner invitation. Omega Corporation has you investigating a missing friend's last known whereabouts. Additional stand-alone rooms include a Portal crossover at Aperture Science Laboratories, an Among Us spaceship, Santa's Workshop, a graveyard, Leonardo da Vinci's workshop, and a pirate-themed treasure room — among others.
Online cooperative play supports up to three players in the official rooms (with the community rooms tested up to ten), and the customisation surface lets you join with friends and coordinate puzzle-solving as a team. The level editor and Steam Workshop are where the long-tail value lives: more than 4,000 community rooms at last count, ranging from short single-puzzle experiments to elaborate multi-hour custom experiences. A clue-pinning system lets you keep important information visible on screen rather than memorising or jotting down references.
