Expeditions Viking

Expeditions: Viking, from Logic Artists, the makers of Expeditions: Conquistador, takes you to roughly 790 AD, when a small band of Norse warriors lands on the shores of England. History may have forgotten their names, but their actions live on, and as the newly appointed chieftain of a modest Viking clan, ambition guides your choices.

You have a village of your own, but to carve your name into the runestones of history you need great strength and great wealth to grow its prosperity and renown. With little left to gain in the Norse lands, you set your sights on the seas to the west, where tales speak of a great island full of treasure. You assemble a worthy band of warriors, build a ship, and seek wealth and glory across the water, knowing your trusted huscarls will follow you even to Valhalla.

The game lets you create your own chieftain through a unique character system where stats, skills and abilities define your role. Vikings were known not just as violent warriors but as savvy traders, so you decide whether to find fortune with the carrot or the stick. War and politics let you side with Norsemen, Picts or Angles, and your reputation matters: the stories of your actions may make others fear you, but they shape whether anyone will trust you, in a visceral telling of Nordic history.
