About Fursan al-Aqsa The Knights of the Al-Aqsa Mosque

Fursan al-Aqsa is a third-person action game by Nidal Nijm, a single licensed Unreal developer working in a custom build of UDK (Unreal Engine 3) since 2017. The campaign follows Ahmad al-Falastini, a young Palestinian student returning from years of imprisonment to join a resistance movement after his family was killed in an airstrike.

The game's stated influences are visible throughout: Metal Gear Solid's stealth, Call of Duty Modern Warfare's ground combat, Insurgency Sandstorm's weapon feel, Max Payne's slow-motion, and the mission structure of Goldeneye 007. Missions span ground, sea, and air operations, with boss battles, drivable vehicles, helicopter takedowns, and multi-objective level design.

The game is openly framed as a political work — the developer's stated goal is to present the conflict from a Palestinian perspective and challenge what he sees as conventional depictions of Arabs in mainstream shooters. The political framing of the project is central rather than incidental, and the marketing materials describe the game itself as a counter-narrative to the genre's usual alignments.
