GolfTopia

GolfTopia is a tycoon-builder that puts you in charge of every aspect of a futuristic golf course — designing the layout, placing each tee and hole, sculpting the earth itself, and managing the economics that keep the place running. Two hundred persistent golfers visit your course, grow in skill over time, and develop long-term opinions about whether they'd recommend it to anyone.

The data-mining mechanic is the design's distinguishing feature. Each golfer carries over 100 possible thoughts — from "I have to pee" to "the green is too large" — and the game lets you peer into their minds, see exactly where each thought happened, and use that feedback to tune the course. The simulation produces both useful insights and the kind of complaints no real golfer would voice aloud.

Weeds are golf's nemesis. An ongoing infestation tries to turn the manicured course into knotted foliage, and you can deploy drone workers and defensive turrets to keep the grass clean. Futuristic devices — fans, bumpers, launchers, teleporters — let you manipulate the physics of the ball itself, turning the course into either a fine-tuned money-printing machine or a deliberate meat grinder. You can also play your own course; the manager character evolves with practice and can win tournaments.
