About HUMANITY
HUMANITY casts you as a lone Shiba Inu charged with commanding massive, marching crowds of people across 90 story-mode stages. The crowds move continuously forward — your job is to place commands (jump, turn, push, float, shoot, climb) at the right tiles to route them toward the goal. Failure means people walk off cliffs, into walls, or otherwise fail to reach the exit.
The genre blends puzzle-solving with action-platforming elements. Devious puzzles requiring strategic thinking alternate with more action-focused stages and epic boss battles. The visual scale is the central pleasure — towering swarms of people following your commands, moving like ant colonies through stark iconic environments designed by visual director Yugo Nakamura and famed game creator Tetsuya Mizuguchi (Rez Infinite, Tetris Effect: Connected).
The in-game Stage Creator lets you build your own levels — straightforward puzzles, action stages, or even artful sculptures — and share them with the community. Browse user-made content from a wide variety of submitted designs. The optional VR mode immerses you over the teeming, ant-like masses for a perspective the flat-screen version can't quite match. The whole project is unlike almost anything else in the puzzle-action space.
