About HYPERCHARGE Unboxed

HYPERCHARGE: Unboxed is a wave-based shooter set inside the world of childhood action figures. The story follows Sergeant Max Ammo, a small plastic soldier on a mission to defeat the villainous Major Evil and protect the Hypercore — a magical power source that contains the cherished memories of beloved toys. If the Hypercore breaks, those memories vanish forever, and the action figures themselves become lost treasures.

The gameplay loop alternates between exploration and defense. Between waves you search massive household-scale environments for weapons, resources and hidden secrets — every normal object is huge from the perspective of an action figure, which makes a kitchen counter or a bedroom floor genuinely fun to navigate. When the next wave arrives, you set up turrets, build defenses, and team up with allies to defend the Hypercore against the next assault. Difficulty scales with the number of players.

The multiplayer support is unusually generous. 1-4 player co-op runs both online and locally, including full split-screen support for up to four players sharing one screen. Single-player works offline with player bots that listen to commands, collect resources and help build defenses. Classic PvP modes — Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Battery, Infection, King of the Hill — support up to eight players. The developer is explicit about what the game isn't: no pay-to-progress, no weapon meta to chase, no slide-cancelling, no microtransactions. Everything is unlocked in-game through play, in the old-school style the action-figure premise demands.
