Inside the Backrooms

Inside the Backrooms is an online co-op horror game for up to four players, built on the well-known creepypasta. You and your friends fight to escape level after level of the Backrooms, each one larger and harder than the last, with its own puzzles and mechanics.

The deeper you go, the more dangerous it gets. You scavenge supplies into a limited inventory, explore endless identical rooms of dirty carpet and pale yellow walls, and unlock new areas. Six entities, all drawn from the original creepypasta, each attack and manifest differently, and being cornered by several at once spells trouble. Puzzle solutions change every game, so memorizing answers will not help.

Items like Almond Water, anxiety-killing pills, radios, and flashlights are essential to survival, and mismanaging them can be fatal. Proximity voice chat lets you talk to nearby teammates, though some entities can hear you too, while stamina, an anxiety system, and a three-life respawn shape every run. Five levels plus two secret mini-levels lead to a hidden ending.
