Lakeview Cabin 2

Lakeview Cabin 2 returns to the side-scrolling horror sandbox of the original Collection and expands the format into four episodes, each leaning on a different slice of horror filmmaking. The pixel art and emergent physics give every encounter the feel of a movie scene you're directing on the fly, with whatever objects the developer left lying around.

Episode 1 is the namesake summer-house scenario where you set traps and survive the night. Episode 2 takes place at a cult-film convention in a hotel, with a hidden murderer among the crowd. Episode 3 is a TV-studio-set mystery that crosses timelines as you fight enemies in multiple periods. Episode 4 throws four survivors into a post-apocalyptic road trip across the world of Lakeview.

Roope Tamminen built the game as a sequel to the 2015 Lakeview Cabin Collection, with a remake of the original Lakeview Cabin flash game included in the package. Each episode has bonus modes, and two-player local co-op is available from the start — which is the way most of the funniest emergent moments tend to happen.
