LEGO Marvel's Avengers is Traveller's Tales' return to the Marvel sandbox after LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, this time focusing specifically on the Marvel Cinematic Universe rather than the broader comics roster. The game adapts storylines from the critically acclaimed Avengers films and other MCU entries, letting players step into the LEGO-rendered shoes of the most powerful Super Heroes in their quest to save the world.

The gameplay follows the long-running LEGO formula refined across decades of TT releases. Drop-in/drop-out co-op platforming, puzzles that ask players to combine character abilities, smashable environments full of studs to collect, and a massive roster of unlockable characters spanning the entire MCU canon.
