Magicite

Magicite is a multiplayer RPG platformer with permanent death and heavy roguelike elements, drawing its main influences from Monster Hunter and Spelunky. It randomly generates each underground dungeon for you and your friends to delve into, combining resource collection and crafting with brutal but rewarding platforming.

Surviving the harsh environment means chopping trees, mining ores and hunting beasts to gather what you need. A crafting system lets you combine any two items to create a new one, from wood planks up through a long chain of discoverable recipes, while a deliberate combat system punishes anyone who just runs in swinging, since positioning, timing and useful items all matter. A wide spread of character traits, stats, companions and classes makes every playthrough different.

Multiplayer is where it shines: permanent death only triggers when the entire party has fallen, so you can rush over to revive a downed friend, or choose not to. Playing well unlocks new races, hats with special effects and companions that change your starting items and stats, and you should expect to die a lot.
