NUTS

NUTS is a single-player surveillance mystery framed as a walking simulator. As a rookie field researcher fresh out of Viago University, you are sent to live alone in a dinky caravan in Melmoth Forest with a deceptively simple job: figure out exactly where the native squirrels nest.

The gameplay runs on a daily cycle. During the day you explore the forest and place cameras, working out the optimal layout through trial and error from a starting point in each mission briefing. At night, back in your DIY control center, you review all the footage you captured, combing it for the information your mission needs and sending proof to your boss, Dr. Nina Scholz, at the research institute.

But the longer you spend tracking the squirrels, where they hide their nuts, what puzzling routes they take, why they behave so strangely, the weirder things become. With both you and Dr. Scholz working the case, an immersive, fully voiced story gradually reveals what is really going on in Melmoth Forest, all set against bold visuals and rich foley sound.
