About Reentry - An Orbital Simulator
Reentry is built on the premise that running a Mercury capsule is itself the gameplay. The simulator models the spacecraft systems — guidance computers, propulsion, navigation, life support — in enough detail that mission procedures from the actual flights translate directly into in-game actions. Wexman Studio's design treats the cockpit as a working environment rather than a setting.
The progression structure carries you across the early NASA programs. Mercury orbits are the starting point, Gemini docking and EVA missions form the middle act, and Apollo lunar operations sit at the top of the campaign. Each program demands more system management than the last, with historical and fictional missions alongside an astronaut career that levels with experience.
The learning environment ships in the package: an in-game Space Flight Academy, detailed spacecraft manuals, and step-by-step checklists that let curious explorers come in cold. Veterans get the full procedure-driven simulation depth, with realistic orbital mechanics and authentic system interaction throughout.
