SILENT HILL 2

SILENT HILL 2 is a remake of the acclaimed psychological horror game. Having received a letter from his deceased wife, James Sunderland heads to Silent Hill, the town where they shared so many memories, in the hope of seeing her one more time. There, by the lake, he finds a woman eerily similar to her, who introduces herself as Maria, her face and voice just like his wife's. What he finds in the town is a ghost town, prowled by disturbing monsters and cloaked in deep fog.

The remake rebuilds the experience for the latest hardware, with ray tracing and other cutting-edge enhancements making the unsettling world realer than before, joined by new, immersive soundscapes. Larger environments let you explore locations and buildings that were once inaccessible or are newly added, so the same acclaimed story unfolds across an expanded map seen with fresh eyes.

The game moves from the original's fixed-camera viewpoints to an over-the-shoulder perspective, putting you closer to what James sees for a more thrilling, immersive experience. Familiar weapons like the steel pipe and handgun return with an updated combat system, where carefully timed dodges and aiming down sights make monster encounters more engaging and nerve-wracking than ever.
