Resident Evil 6

Resident Evil 6 leans into both action and dread as the C-virus erupts across the globe. Series mainstays Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield and Ada Wong return, joined by Jake Muller, with the story moving between North America, the war-scarred Eastern European nation of Edonia and the Chinese city of Lanshiang.

The game splits into four separate but connected campaigns, each built around a pair of protagonists and a distinct play style; Ada's chapter is solo only, while the others support offline or online co-op. A Crossover system lets as many as four players converge at pivotal moments, sometimes shuffling the usual partnerships. The C-virus produces a wide spread of threats, from ordinary zombies to the agile J'avo and the Chrysalids, and the overhauled controls allow firing on the move, sliding, rolling and stronger melee strikes.

Extra modes round out the package. Agent Hunt lets players invade another session as a creature to hunt the human cast, while The Mercenaries returns with the PC-exclusive No Mercy variant, which doubles the enemy count.
