Resident Evil 5

Resident Evil 5 continues from Resident Evil 4's over-the-shoulder action template, picking up years after Raccoon City. Chris Redfield is now a Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance agent investigating a biological agent transforming an African populace into aggressive, disturbing creatures called Majini. Local BSAA agent Sheva Alomar partners up for the duration.

The Umbrella Corporation is officially destroyed, but its viruses live on through new operators and new threats. The game can be played solo with AI-controlled Sheva or in co-op multiplayer with a partner taking her role. Co-op was the defining feature of the original 2009 release, with Sheva's health bar treated as critically as your own and downed partners requiring rescue or losing the level.

The Steam version is a port of the 2009 Games for Windows - Live release, with the Steamworks Migration FAQ explaining the upgrade path for previous GFWL owners. The Untold Stories Bundle on Steam upgrades to Gold Edition equivalent. Note that the Steam port does not support NVIDIA's 3D Vision feature included in the original GFWL release.
