South of the Circle

South of the Circle is an emotional narrative experience with a layered, cinematic story. You play Peter, a Cambridge academic who crashlands in Cold War Antarctica. As he searches for help, his past unspools before him, revealing how the pressures of power and his own ambitions led him into the crisis he now has to escape.

At the center is a love story between Peter and fellow academic Clara, and through it Peter learns the weight of everything he has promised. The narrative asks hard questions about the paths we take in life and how they shape our careers and our loves, moving between past and present, with nuanced emotional choices along the way.

Created by BAFTA winners State of Play, the game pairs a distinctive art style and careful writing with fully motion-captured performances for emotional realism. Its cast is drawn from screen actors including Gwilym Lee, Olivia Vinall, Richard Goulding, Anton Lesser, Adrian Rawlins and Michael Fox, and an authentic Cold War setting carries environmental storytelling throughout.
