Tchia

Tchia is a tropical open-world adventure in which a young girl sets out to free her father from Meavora, the cruel tyrant lording over the archipelago. You scale cliffs, glide on the wind, swim and pilot a boat among gorgeous islands in a physics-driven sandbox, a poetic coming-of-age story inspired by New Caledonia.

Tchia's special gift, Soul Jumping, lets her slip into any animal or object she comes across, more than 30 animals and hundreds of objects, soar as a bird, swim the depths as a fish, dig up treasure as a dog. Free climbing means you can clamber up anything at all, even a physics-driven tree, while a Tricks system adds stunts and dives, and your customizable boat carries you over turquoise lagoons, past coral reefs and sunken wrecks.

Combat sets you against the Maano, strange foes conjured out of scraps of wood and cloth, where staying mobile and improvising with Tchia's abilities is the key. Your fully playable ukulele is a constant companion, used in rhythm sections and to play unlockable melodies that trigger events like attracting animals or summoning rain. Fully animated cutscenes are voiced in traditional New Caledonian languages, backed by an original orchestral score woven through with local sound, and hundreds of cosmetic items let you style Tchia and her boat.
