Urge

Urge opens after a car crash leaves you in a world drowning in a mysterious drug substance. The familiar landscape has become a wasteland of disturbing monsters and dense atmosphere, and the central twist is that your own choices feed the threat: cutting corners spreads hazardous fog, and once it maxes out, the rules of the world shift against you.

Every moment becomes a tradeoff. Killing a substance-headed enemy quickly might raise the fog. Driving a vehicle with fog-spreading fuel buys mobility at a serious cost. Special enemies and physical dangers tied to the fog escalate as it grows, and your own internal urge speeds up alongside it.

The survival sandbox runs in two modes side by side. Wander between towns as a nomad, or chop trees, barricade an abandoned house, lay traps, and call somewhere home. Firearms, melee weapons, and throwables handle junkies and other creatures; hidden vehicles fuel up on the substance-laden "piss" for longer trips; combining items, scavenging supplies, and learning from past deaths drive the path to the truth behind the place.
