About Wrestling Empire
Wrestling Empire is the lightweight wrestling sim that fans of MDickie's earlier work will recognize immediately, brought up to higher-resolution visuals and a smoother frame rate while preserving the deliberately retro style. The game still loads instantly, the chaos is still very specifically MDickie's chaos, and the freestyle animation system still allows essentially anything to happen at any moment in a match.
The career mode is the long-term hook. Create your own star and embark on a career that brings you up against up to 350 opponents across ten different rosters in wrestling's most epic shared universe. Backstage decisions matter as much as in-ring performance — make the right moves out of the cameras and you fight for your worth, retire with a career worth remembering, and watch weekly news reports digest more data than ever before. Eventually you can save your changes to each roster to make the world your own.
Multiplayer is genuinely renewed. The 'what you see is what you get' setup process invites you to create dream matches in front of you in real time, throwing in as many characters and props as you can handle. The bell-to-bell interactivity trusts you to control every moment from the curtain to the finish, with no scripted segments breaking the player's authorship.
A booking mode added at no extra cost expands the game into territory promotion management. Assemble the best roster you can with the resources available, travel the world setting attendance records, present the right matches in the right way at the right time to maximize ratings, and try to keep a locker room full of egos from self-destructing. Everybody thinks they know better until it's time to do better — which is more or less the perfect MDickie tagline for a wrestling game built on these specific bones.
