Beecarbonize

Beecarbonize is a card strategy game where the enemy is carbon emissions and the win condition is averting climate catastrophe. You research cutting-edge technologies, enact policies, protect ecosystems, and modernize industry through cards that represent real-world climate science. Each card is grounded in actual research; the game's narrative is the experience of climate policy itself.

The balancing act runs across multiple axes. Industrial reforms, nature conservation, social initiatives, and scientific research all matter, but the more carbon you emit, the more extreme events you face — floods, heatwaves, social unrest. Investing in nuclear power raises the risk of nuclear incidents. Every approach carries its own consequences, and the game asks you to experiment without fear of starting over.

Partially randomized world events force adaptive strategy across runs. New cards unlock in the encyclopedia as you progress, charting different possible paths through the same crisis. Hardcore mode adds an extreme scenario for experienced players who want to face the harshest version of the climate timeline. The whole project is built as a strategic challenge that lets you experience climate phenomena hands-on rather than as abstract numbers.
