Bloodwash

Bloodwash channels Italian giallo cinema through deliberately crusty PS1-era graphics. Sara is a pregnant college student stuck in a run-down apartment block with an alcoholic boyfriend who hasn't done the laundry. Her basement machine breaks, a neighbor mentions a 24-hour laundromat on the outskirts of town, and she heads out late at night while a serial killer called the Womb Ripper is targeting expectant mothers.

The game runs roughly one to two hours depending on exploration. First-person camera, low polygon counts and a thick VHS filter (toggleable for extra grain) keep the framing claustrophobic. The story unfolds through environmental detail, NPC conversations and a slow buildup that pays off with the gore the giallo genre is known for.

Developed by Torture Star Video and published alongside the studio's other PS1-aesthetic horror shorts, Bloodwash deliberately reads like a forgotten video-store rental rather than a polished modern production.
