About Boxville
Boxville is 2-in-1: an animated film and a puzzle game. Made in Ukraine, it tells the story of speechless cans living in a city of boxes, drawing doodles on cardboard to tell the stories. Play alone to dive into the atmosphere and challenge your brain with sophisticated logic puzzles, or play with a friend or family to share unique audio-visual experiences and solve puzzles together.
The core design centers on watching the animated film while you play it. Gameplay strips away anxiety and stress: explore and observe without rushing or pressure. The world is full of environmental quests and logical puzzles carefully picked from hundreds of options. The hand-drawn graphics, animations, and sounds are all created specifically for each interaction.
The story follows Blue Can, who loses his best friend to unexplained earthquakes that disturb the city's idyll. He must move forward through a difficult city, bring his friend home, and discover the real cause behind the earthquakes. Unique music for every scene, no words anywhere (cans communicate via cartoony speech bubbles), and tens of logical puzzles and mini-games tightly woven into the story.
