About Moonleap

Moonleap is a compact puzzle-platformer built around a single elegant mechanic: every time the moon boy protagonist jumps, the world flips between day and night. Platforms that exist only in daylight vanish when night falls; structures that were impassable shadow walls become solid ground; the entire layout of a level transforms with each leap. The goal across every stage is to recover scattered shooting stars, which the day/night flip alternately exposes and conceals.

The scope is intentionally tight. Sixty-four handmade levels cover the main campaign, with additional secret and optional levels tucked away for thorough players, multiple playable characters that subtly change how the mechanic interacts with the geometry, and a free DLC layer that extends the original content after launch. Controls are deliberately simple — walk and jump, nothing else — which lets the difficulty curve focus entirely on level design rather than execution complexity.

The pixel-art presentation is restrained and consistent across the campaign, with the moon boy himself rendered as an appealing, expressive central character against backgrounds that shift between cool night palettes and warm daytime tones depending on which side of the mechanic the level is currently sitting in. The game runs short, doesn't overstay its welcome, and treats its mechanic with enough care that the small twists in late levels still feel like discoveries rather than gimmicks.
