Cave Crawlers

Cave Crawlers scales its co-op up to ten players — well past the four-person standard for the genre — and adjusts the difficulty of the caves as more dwarves join the expedition. The structure is a roguelite: you create a character at the start of each run, they have their own items and talents, and when they die they're permanently dead.

Biomes change the cave environment completely as you descend — new enemies, new items, new visual identities, and a themed boss at the end of each biome whose mechanics are tuned to test that biome's particular dangers. Trapped rooms in some biomes hold magnificent rewards for parties willing to take the risk.

Light is a real resource. The caves are very dark, torches burn out over time, and the flint and steel becomes the tool of last resort when the darkness closes in. Over 100 weapon-specific talents span the build space — bleed-stacking axes, fast-swing daggers, healing torches, tank shields. Each weapon carries a unique talent effect, which means your build identity is partly chosen by what drops along the way.
