Craftomation 101 Programming & Craft

Craftomation 101 begins with a tiny rocket landing on a frozen planet, carrying a single robot and a daunting mission: make the world habitable. That means harvesting resources, crafting tools, lighting fires, melting ice, planting trees and producing oxygen, an estimated job of well over 9000 years if you do it by hand.

The answer is robots. CraftoMates can be scripted with visual programming to carry out all kinds of tasks, and just as importantly, they can be assembled and upgraded from the materials around them. Program them to harvest and craft those very materials, and they gradually become a self-sustaining workforce capable of terraforming the entire planet, though they do need feeding now and then, unless you script them to handle that too.

Harvesting and combining materials keeps revealing new ones to discover. The game also generates planets procedurally, all of them frozen, randomly shifting the placement of resources, buildings and volcanoes, so each run differs. Generation seeds can be shared with friends to swap favorite worlds.
