Crashlands

Crashlands is a crafting action-RPG from Butterscotch Shenanigans, named on Time Magazine's Top 10 Games of 2016. You play Flux Dabes, a no-nonsense intergalactic delivery driver whose latest run gets sabotaged by an alien named Hewgodooko. Stranded on planet Woanope with the packages, the central problem becomes "finish the delivery, despite everything trying to kill you."

Crafting unlocks 500+ items as you explore. Inventory is infinite and self-managing — no slot puzzles, no backpack tetris, no trips home to dump junk. The design is built around removing the friction common to survival crafting games.

Combat is skill-based: learn the attacks of each enemy and dodge them while your gear and gadgets do the damage. Setting enemies on fire, stunning them, slowing time, and other status effects come from craftable items rather than character classes.

Every creature on Woanope can be tamed. Find an egg, incubate it, hatch it, raise it with special items, and it becomes a combat companion. Four sentient races, three continents, hundreds of side quests, and an overarching world-domination plot fill the world. Player 2 in co-op plays as Juicebox, a robotic supervisor with his own kit. Cross-platform with mobile via cloud saves.
